Francis Young is the author or editor of over 20 books in the fields of the history of religion and belief and folklore, including Twilight of the Godlings, Magic in Merlin’s Realm, and Pagans in the Early Modern Baltic. He is well known as an author, speaker and prolific contributor to podcasts and social media on some of the stranger aspects of Britain’s - and Europe’s - religious history, and has been shortlisted three times for the Folklore Society’s Katharine Briggs Award. ‘All Old Strange Things’ is Francis’s opportunity to reflect at greater length on some of the themes arising from his ongoing research into the unexplored past of religion and folklore, and to share his process and methods as a historian.
